RP&L is proud to partner with KICKS 96, Earlham College, Cope
Environmental
Center, Indiana Office of Energy and Defense and
Bob Wotherspoon as we
investigate all forms of renewable generation.
RP&L will test the wind speeds in the northern boundaries of our territory using the KICKS 96 radio tower. We have set two anemometers at 328 feet and two more at 164 feet. We will collect data from anemometers for approximately one year. View pictures of our project.
Earlham College has agreed to provide the aviary study (monitoring the flight patterns of migratory birds) that wind developers require.
